Despite them not quite making it to Sweden yet Quick Response codes (QR for short) are as popular as ever in Japan. WhatJapanThinks.com writes about it here, and it seems that almost everybody uses QR from time to time. I also wrote a small post here, and check out my own QR code in the bottom right corner of this page!

I’ve seen lately that QR codes has made a small entrance to the Swedish scene however. For example, in one of the biggest evening papers “Aftonbladet” you can find a QR link occasionally. The QR picture always comes with a explanatory note and I saw that there were also indications on how to download a QR code reader for your phone.

A phone that doesn’t read QR codes? Unimaginable in Japan!
